Dr. Shataee, the President of Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, participated in annual meeting of the Union of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Sea Countries. During this meeting, he underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among the Caspian Sea nations to address the critical issue of declining water levels. He specifically highlighted the significance of the sea's water and the land surrounding Gorgan Bay.

Addressing the challenge of the diminishing water levels in the Caspian Sea and the arid conditions of Gorgan Bay necessitates a coordinated response from the countries bordering the Caspian Sea, with a focus on the role of universities.

During the visits to scientific and research centers in Russia, the head of Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources emphasized the importance of collaborative research projects with Russian universities. Dr. Shataee, while addressing the strategic and cooperative relations between Iran and Russia, proposed that the advantages of scientific experiences and related technologies in the field of agriculture and natural resources could facilitate exchange of students, faculty members, and joint research projects, thereby fostering stronger mutual scientific collaborations through these collaborations.
