According to the Times Ranking by Subject in 2025, GUASNR achieved the top position nationally in the field of life sciences and ranked 401-500 in the world. it should be pointed out that in the Times Ranking, Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources also ranks first among the universities in Golestan Province and the universities along the Caspian Sea.

Also, Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources ranked 600-801in the field of physical sciences (tenth in Iran) and engineering (thirteenth in Iran) among universities in the world.

The Times Ranking by Subject features 81 universities from across the nation which are generated from five “pillars”: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook. Moreover, universities are assessed based on their performance in 11 various fields of study.
